I've made Dunns River Lounge, my go to place for a romantic evening. The atmosphere says DLR is fine lovers. You get intimate time with your dining partner and a chance to connect. The food is tasty at all times. I had lamb chops this time around and that may be my "all time go to dish". If I had a drink it would have set the night and captivated the mood but we still found a moment of relaxation, enjoyment, and engaging conversation. They have a bar as well so if you want to enjoy the night life and toast the night away. This place is great!

I've always wanted to try this place and I'm glad that my wife and I had the opportunity to. The food and the service were great. They had just finished with a 50 person event when we arrived and they were able to set back up quickly and get us seated and serviced. We had the oxtail toast appetizer which was delicious. For our entrée, we had jerk pork and curry goat. The jerk pork is my favorite dish and some of the best that I've ever had. I loved the cuts of the pork and it was melt in your mouth tender. Our waitress was also very polite and friendly which made the experience even better. I will definitely be back for more!

First of all the owner is in the building greeting you with a smile and fast tracking my order so I don’t have to wait. Exceptional Customer service! Got home and the food was chefs kiss!!!! Listen, small children soup with choice of 2 meats, rice and peas, vegetables and plantains-seasoned to perfection. My order- oxtail/goat- off the bone good. Can serve 2 people (38).This needs to be your go to place when wanting to satisfy that Caribbean palate.

I was in New York for a day before leaving for Africa. I was hungry and my friend picked me up and took me here. This is Top 5 oxtails for me. The food was great. I grabbed takeout for my wife and in-laws to take back to the hotel. We go back on the the 21st and I’m definitely going back.

The food at this lounge was amazing. The meat was falling off the oxtails, & was very tasty. The alcoholic drinks were perfectly made.I took my staff here to celebrate Employee Appreciation Week, & our waiter, Jamol, was amazing. He catered to our needs. & took care of us whenever we needed anything. He became very busy, but always checked on is. The ambience at this lounge is very warm. Go check it out. All of my staff said their food was delicious.

I just love going to places and being treated like a valued customer. This place had a nice vibe as soon as we walked in. Very clean and intimate, a bit small but they are expanding. It wasnt too crowded while we were there which was around 1pm. It had a comfortable amount of people. We came for a birthday celebration. Party of 2 so we sat at the bar to dine. Our server, 5 stars, Alee Was fantastic. She was very helpful throughout the whole experience. All our drinks were made to perfection, she Made sure all our needs were met. 5.5 stars to The chef Bobby. The flavors in food got together and had a party in my mouth. It was absolutely delicious. At the end of our meal, staff surprised us with cake and a sparkle candle with happy birthday written on the plate. This was so thoughtful and so well presented. This place was truly good time. We plan to come back for date night. It was our first time coming and it won't be the last. It is now on the list of one of my favorite places to dine. I highly recommend this place if your looking to get away and need to wine down and want good food, nice Caribbean music, and good vibe atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

I thought I didn’t like jerk chicken until chance happened to take me into Dunn’s River Lounge. It was outstanding. It was the spice and flavour I had always hoped for but had been denied. I was there for lunch so I didn’t get to experience the restaurant, but the take-away counter experience was great. The staff were all super friendly, helpful, and accessible. We met the owner as well, who greeted us warmly. She happened to be interviewing a new potential server so we couldn’t help but overhear the values she had for and the pride she took in her restaurant. Absolutely recommend.

I had a good time at Dunn’s River. It’s a quaint space with good music (a bit loud if you’re wanting to converse). They played classic reggae and dancehall. I ordered the pepper shrimp as a starter and the escoveitch snapper with rice and peas and plantains as my entree The fish was fresh but could’ve used a little more seasoning. The drinks were good. The waitress was nice and helpful. Overall a good time. I would go back.
